APL 2104 Os Trovões
In some lands of the Algarve, it is usual to calm down the fear caused by the noise of thunders by giving them a happy origin:
— It is the angels playing ball in heaven.
And this reply given by parents to their children has been rolling down from olden times.
Em algumas terras do Algarve é costume desfazer-se a má impressão causada pelos trovões nos timoratos atribuindo-lhes uma origem alegre.
— São os anjos que brincam à bola no céu —
E de remotas idades vem esta resposta constantemente comunicada de pais a filhos.
